Is There a God Out There Who Loves Me?
Many people want to know if there is a God or not
Is this the question in every human heart? Are we loved or are we just on our own left to our devices? Every religion and every individual has their own take on God and who He is. I will endeavour to explain this very difficult concept, but even I don't fully understand how God has expressed Himself. It is hard to fully grasp who He is and His vastness. It is a simple truth that unless God explains Himself to an individual, there is no way to know who He is nor understand Him.
This book looks at things from a very logical and scientific mindset. When I study anything I ask myself some simple questions. Is this true? Can it be proven? What is the result of this truth? This book will take you on a journey and will hopefully bring you to an exciting climax.

Here is an excerpt from pages 8-9
"Let us look at some ideas and religions. Firstly, let us clarify what a religion is. It is a series of beliefs and ideas and sometimes rules and regulations for living. Everyone has a religion in some way or other. A good way to spot some of the religions, is to look for the suffix “ism” at the end of the word. For instance, Atheism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Materialism, Mormonism, Judaism are all religions. I am sure you were surprised to see Atheism in that list. However, Atheism also requires a series of beliefs and thoughts based on the premise that God does not exist. All scientists, designers and engineers, know that for something complex to exist it must have been designed and made. A car could not evolve from a baked bean can sitting around for millions of years until it changes shape, and develops complex mechanics and wiring configurations. The human body is a far greater work of engineering than a car.. Atheism and Evolution seem to be partner religions. It is very interesting that the Theory of Evolution is still called the “Theory” of Evolution not the “fact” of Evolution. In science if a theory does not become a fact, scientists throw out the idea after a while. Einstein’s theory of the formula E=mc2 became fact when the atomic bomb was first dropped. It showed how energy and mass are related. In Hinduism there are literally millions of gods. These deities can involve humans and animals? Hinduism has a god called Ganesha which is an elephant/human hybrid. Could we really have been created by an elephant looking god? Hindus do believe in one supreme being called Para Brahman who is the highest of all of them. This is approaching the idea of one overall creator God. What about Buddhism? It has lots of good practices and ideas but does not reveal where we come from. It does not give us the deeper answers to life. What about Islam? They certainly believe in one creator God. Islam says the way to get to heaven is to do more good deeds than bad ones. What happens if you don’t do enough good deeds? Well, they say you will go to Hell then. That is gambling with your life. It is ironic that gambling is illegal in Islam, and yet you can take risks with your eternal life in that religion. Judaism was a religion that relied on animal sacrifice to cover people’s sin (the bad things we do), and therefore instead of us paying the price of our wrong-doings, the animal took our place. The only problem is that Judaism no longer has a Temple where they can offer the sacrifices, as it was destroyed in 70AD, just under 2000 years ago. What about the God of the Christians? I believe reading the book called the Holy Bible can reveal the character of a God Who is much like us. What do I mean? Well, He laughs, He gets angry, He gets sad, He is patient, He is loving, He is vengeful, He is kind, He is faithful, and so on. This, to me, sounds like He is similar to us. Could it make sense that a God that created us would be like us? Or, more correctly, could we be like Him? Do you ever get happy or angry? If you created someone, wouldn't you make him or her like you with your attributes?" |
