The James Family Children
We believe children should have a personal knowledge of Jesus, The Father and the Holy Spirit from the youngest of ages. We believe that children must be free to go to Jesus. We know from scripture that Jesus said “ Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God". Knowing about God in Sunday School is not really what it is about. Our children need to know Jesus for themselves through a personal encounter with him through the Holy Spirit. From this personal encounter they can minister to others so they can know the good news too and have an encounter with the Risen King.
All too often we think that our children turn away from God when they reach teenage. The painful truth is often that they never knew Jesus but just learnt about Him and the rules of Christian living. We know that rules and regulations breed rebellion but grace and mercy gives life.
Our 2 oldest daughters often play in worship in churches and are available to teach guitar through Skype or FaceTime. Our oldest son (8 years old in 2017) is a Psalmist who makes up his own lyrics and tunes in a fashion that is quite Biblical. They are all work in progress.
